I woke up the other morning and when I got out of bed, it felt like Reece was skydiving in my belly and landed a lot lower than where she had been before. I told Mike I thought she had dropped a bit, but neither one of us could officially tell by looking so we didn't really think anything of it at the time. Well later that day, I noticed that I was feeling her move around in my hip area and that she couldn't implant herself in my ribs anymore! Yay! That was my official sign she had dropped! She was enjoying implanting herself on my right side under my ribs, which was super uncomfortable, especially when I was trying to lean over to do anything. Then again, like everyone said, she's already learning to be a stubborn pain lol! If she's anything like her mommy and daddy, she's definitely going to be stubborn and hard headed :)-
Well today I had my 36 wk check up and I told my gyno about all of it so the lovely words, "get undressed from the waist down" were spoken. She measured me and said Reece has definitely dropped a lot since last week, which is a good sign. We then listened to her heart beat, which sounded nice and strong. Then we moved onto the checking of the cervix lol! She said that I'm still closed, but it feels like it's on the verge of being at a 1. I know none of this really means anything, but when you're ready to get the her out and meet her, all of this sounds positive for that happening sooner rather than later haha.
And on another positive note, Mike and I took our childbirth class on Saturday. It was an all day thing since we couldn't do Monday and Wednesday nights due to him having class. It was up at Baylor All Saints where we're going to have Reece so we were able to do a tour of labor and delivery and postpartum. The class was very interesting and we both enjoyed it. We bought the book Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way a while ago and we've read it, so this reaffirmed a lot of stuff we had read in the book. It was also great watching the videos b/c it made me a whole lot more comfortable with having a no drug natural childbirth. It actually made Mike more comfortable as well, thank goodness. He was wanting an epidural b/c he doesn't want to see me in that much pain, but once he saw the other women having a natural versus the epidural, he's thinking the natural is better. I guess that's all the latest stuff that's been going on so enjoy!

The Official Full Name!
Well Mike and I were running errands today and we officially decided on Reece's middle name.....Bella! Yay! Reece Bella Bassi is the full name of our little girl that will be joining us very soon :)
The full story of the name stuff is a long one, but I'll lay some of it out on here. When we finally found out we were pregnant, I told Mike my dream name for a little girl, Riann Aurora, but he hated it. My next choice was Aurora Riann, but he hated that as well. With Riann as her first name, we could call her Ri for short and Aurora as her first name we could call her Rory for short. He nixed both of the names immediately for the girl names so we had to start from square one. Well the further along I got, the more people were saying that it was going to be a little boy. We agreed on the name, Bryce Luca Bassi, for a boy's name. Bryce-Scottish; freckled, Luca-Italian; light. So we were set on a boy's name.
The girls names on the other hand were a completely different story. We ended up buying a baby name book to help us decide on a girls name. Well after going through, which seems like, 100's of names, we finally agreed on Reece as her first name. We absolutely love what it means, passionate and enthusiastic, and it seems like it's fitting her the way she kicks the crap out of me in my belly haha. We then were a bit worried b/c once we picked it, we realized one of the many nieces and nephews on Mike's side of the family had that name as her middle name. We talked about it and asked for some opinions and everyone said that us making our little girl's name Reece for her first name was not a big deal since it was the other little girl's middle name. So we decided on Reece :)
When it came to the middle name, I had thrown in Baylee, Ember, Riley, Fallon, a lot of other choices b/c I wanted her to have a name from our backgrounds (Italian, Scottish, Irish). Well every name I threw out there, Mike hated and would come back with Brittany, Tiffany, Jennifer, etc. A typical girls name, which wasn't okay with me. So needless to say, we went back and forth for a very long time trying to decide. Well I ended up writing down every Italian female name in our baby name book, which was 4 pages long, and told him he could pick one of those names since I really had my heart set on her having an Italian middle name. Well he looked through all of them and didn't like any besides Bella and Rosa. I loved Bella, but then he remembered that one of Aunt Karen and Uncle Frank's dogs names was Bella so he said no way b/c she would be named after a dog. Everyone told him that she wouldn't be named after a dog and it would be fine if her middle name was Bella, but he wouldn't budge. Well with Rosa, in Italy, it's in the top 5 most popular female Italian names, but here in Texas, it sounds Mexican, so we nixed that one. He then liked Bellarose, which is Italian and was fine with me, but he then decided that it was too names and too long, so that was out. Some other names from the list that I liked were, Abree, Abrielle, Arabella, Sienna, Mirabella, Cella, and Giada. Well Mike said no to all of them, so we kept coming back to Bella since that was the main one he liked, but he couldn't get passed the dog thing.
After several months of me bugging him and telling him he needed to decide, we finally decided today! We were driving home from Costco and I went ahead and brought up middle names. I kept the list of them in my purse at all times lol! He said that was the one name we both really liked and we agreed on it! So, yay! Reece Bella Bassi is our little girl's name!

I'm not sure why all the pictures are out of order, but here we all are Saturday night at Fresco's in downtown Burleson for dinner. Me, Mike, my dad, Kyle, Sofia, Frankie, Josh, Aunt Karen, Uncle Frank, Aunt Liz, and Nanny.
Well, one of my bestest friends, Lindsey, was due April 20th with her second little girl, and we kept joking around she would go into labor at the baby shower and we would all drive her to the hospital. She was texting me for a long time Friday night that she felt like she was going to go into labor and I just kept telling her to breathe and relax and all would be well. It turned out, her water broke at 0230, she rushed to the hospital, she was dilated to an 8, and she had this beautiful baby girl (Evelyn Sean Stooksberry) at 0721 hrs weighing 7lbs6oz and 19 in long! Well I almost rushed up there, but she told me to relax and enjoy the baby shower and then to head up there afterwards. My mom, me, and Aunt Liz headed up to Baylor All Saints and went to celebrate the new arrival :) Love them!
Back to the baby shower...so sorry for the order being messed up! MaryPat is in the background, Sofia, Lexi, Jan, Heather, and Kristin are all waiting patiently while I'm cutting pieces of cake

What a blast! My mom and dad came in Thursday evening and as soon as I got home from work, they took me shopping for nursing tops. I've still been wearing my regular clothes and, well, the top half of my body has grown quite a bit so my parents and Mike say I'm stretching out all my tops haha. We headed to Target and they got me a few nursing tanks and a couple maternity shirts :) I felt like a little kid again, which was fun having my parents spoil me :) When we got home, we just hung out until Mike called to let us know he was on his way home so we could start dinner. My mom made a super yummy mexican dish for dinner and then even yummier vanilla cream filled chocolate cupcakes for dessert.
Friday Mike and I headed to work and my parents were absolutely amazing and cleaned the house for the shower on Saturday. I only had time for and felt up to dusting Wednesday when I got home from work, but I couldn't get myself to vacuum. And when Mike had time, he worked on mowing and weedeating the yard before the shower. My parents did an amazing job cleaning the house and Mike and I were sooo grateful that they did that! Friday evening, Nanny and Aunt Liz came in from Kingwood and Kyle and Sofia came in from San Marcos. Once Mike got home, we all headed to Babe's Chicken House in downtown Burleson for dinner and it was soo good! I love their green beans and cream of corn! And their smoked chicken and chicken fingers with BBQ sauce are amazing! Yum yum yum! We then headed back to the house and all hung out for a bit before Aunt Liz and Nanny headed to their hotel. They decided to stay at a hotel b/c Aunt Liz is allergic to dogs and she has really bad asthma so she was concerned she wasn't going to be able to be at the house during the whole shower if she stayed the night.
Saturday morning, I was woken up to a picture text message that won't come through on my phone from Sgt. Keenum (was my Cpl in Central ZT and now he's Lindsey's Sgt). I immediately jumped out of bed and called him b/c I knew it had something to do with Lindsey and her baby girl. He told me that she and her new baby girl were doing just fine! He handed the phone to Lindsey and she told me everything! I couldn't believe it! I was so excited and happy and had all these good emotions running through me! Real quick, Lindsey's husband, Eric, is a US Air Marshall and he lives in Virginia while she lives here. They have one little girl together, Lucia, Mike and I's god daughter. Since Lindsey was due April 20th, Eric was flying in Monday morning, the 16th. Well, unfortunately, Eric wasn't here for the big moment since he was on a flight to Paris while it all happened. So since Eric wasn't here, Lindsey called Keenum to drive her to the hospital since he was the closest to her (she's in Springtown). He rushed her to the hospital and one of her sisters met them there. All went well and out popped their baby girl! So I had all this going on early Saturday morning and it started my day off AWESOME! Not only was my family there and I knew I was going to see many of my friends and family to celebrate Reece, but Lindsey and her baby girl were doing great! I ran around the house telling everyone :) The baby shower was an absolute blast and Mike and I feel soo blessed and grateful for all the amazing gifts we got for Reece :) Reece's room is now complete and it's great! Afterwards, we went to see Lindsey and Evelyn at the hospital before we headed to dinner. I absolutely lllooovvvveeee family time and I got so much of it Saturday! It seriously was such a good day I couldn't stop smiling and laughing and just being overall ecstatic all day and night :)
I woke up Sunday feeling good and refreshed, but it is always a sad day b/c everyone heads back home :( My dad made everyone a big breakfast and my mom washed all the towels and sheets they used plus all the new clothes, towels, blankets, etc that Reece got at her shower the day before. Wow, that definitely helped me sooo much! Aunt Liz and Nanny left first due to the weather, then Kyle and Sofia b/c Kyle has a big paper due tomorrow, and then my parents and Koda. Everyone made it home safely, thank God! Mike and I did some things around the house with Reece's room and the gifts and then he went to the office to work. Altogether, this weekend was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND I LOVE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS SOO MUCH!

April Fool's Day
I stay in the human pool and the puppies bring me their football and frisbee to throw :)
Running around the backyard after catching their frisbee and football.
Olivine bringing me her football again :)
Bronx bringing me his football and Olivine with bat ears.
Me throwing the football for Bronx and Olivine running with him
Bronx and Olivine running free together with their frisbee and football :)
Mike's bum ankle :( He was taking all the pictures on the porch.
Bronx's tongue hanging out when I'm about to throw his frisbee :)-
Olivine running after her frisbee
I was teasing Bronx and not throwing his frisbee so he started doing his excited and "hurry up" bark lol!
Him about to bark again, but realizing I'm going to throw it
Me throwing water at Bronx for him to catch....it was so fun!
He caught it and it was making me crack up! Olivine was looking at him all confused haha.
Bronx opening his mouth wide open for more water! Awesome picture!
Him barking at me for throwing water instead of his frisbee lol!
Bronx running after his frisbee with his ears flapping around lol!
Olivine running over by their dog pool since I threw her frisbee in it
Olivine watching me
Bronx catching more water. I love these pictures!
And Olivine trying to catch the water as well :)-
Mike and I had been wanting the Sony Alpha A55 DSLR camera for a while, but we were hoping the price would go down. Well our luck came around and we got an amazing deal on the camera with the 55mm lens and we got a 200mm lens with it all for under what the original camera price was going to be! We were so happy! So ever since we got it, we've been having a blast taking pictures with it! It can do action shots and the shutter speed is quicker and you can change the lighting, etc. Mike's definitely been the master with it and he's teaching me. We're definitely both still learning though. We wanted to get this camera for when Reece is born and catching all the priceless moments we're going to have with her as a baby learning :) Well on April Fool's Day, Mike and I ran a couple errands, pulled some weeds, and then it was our time to relax! So I set up the human pool and the puppy pools in the backyard so we could all have a blast together! And it definitely was!
